Carl Zimmer science tattoos book

Science writer Carl Zimmer writes intelligent popular science articles for Discover Magazine, the New York Times, and also books (most recently, the acclaimed A Planet of Viruses).

This week, a much-anticipated book with his name on it was released, but the content comes courtesy of a surprisingly large cult: people with science tattoos.  For several years, Zimmer invited people to send him images of their techno-tatts.  Now he’s collected them into Science Ink: Tattoos of the Science Obsessed.

What a fantastic collection!  Some original source material you can see at his  Discover Magazine blog The Loom.  View some examples from the book here.
