Bedtime story books for science-loving kids

Thought I’d share a link today to Science Books & Films, an online critical review journal published by AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Science) devoted exclusively to print and nonprint materials in all of the sciences for all age groups.

What caught my eye this week was their selection of bedtime story books for science-loving kids. Lots animals sleeping or going to sleep in these books. While you’re at the site shopping for your favorite little person, check out SBF’s choices for adults too.

While on the subject, I’ll also put in a plug for one of my favorite microbiology-themed picture books, The Invisible ABC’s: Exploring the World of Microbes. The content of this book is too advanced for preschool, but the images are fantastic. I recommend this for science-y parents to read to grades K-3.
