New romantic comedy LOSING CONTROL celebrates geek love

I just heard about this new indie film, written and directed by Valerie Weiss, founder of PhD Productions and biophysics PhD graduate from Harvard Medical School. Losing Control appears to be your usual silly, sometimes coarse, romantic comedy fare with a hook that guarantees I’ll be going to see it next week: it’s loaded with laboratory-based humor and the female protagonist is a totally geeky (though beautiful) graduate student. Losing Control is starting its limited theater run in NYC now, and on Friday opens in Sacramento & Tacoma, then moves to Los Angeles and Boston. (Here are the details.)

You can check out the movie website for links to early reviews and media coverage, including a feature on NPR.
